Who can resist the lure of traditional Christmas pantomimes? Men dressed as women, sweets hurled into the audience, no one frowning over your rowdy children, and some risqué gags for the parents thrown in for good measure. What’s not to love! This year’s King’s Theatre pantomime will be everything you could wish for as Elaine C Smith returns as Widow Twankey alongside Johnny Mac as the lovable eejit Wishee Washee and Paul-James Corrigan as the Imperial Palace Guard in the magical pantomime adventure Aladdin. The 2018 family pantomime at The Hexagon in Reading will be Aladdin. And even more exciting is that Cbeebies superstar Justin Fletcher will once again be returning to Reading. Paul Morse, one of the most loved of Dames, has also confirmed he will once again be teaming up with Justin for some more sloshing around and slapstick high-jinx.
